My stay at Seurahuone Helsinki had its ups and downs. The location right across from the central railway station was perfect for exploring the city. However, the rooms felt dated and in need of serious renovation, which made the overall experience less enjoyable than it could have been. The service was a mixed bag; while some staff were friendly, others didn’t seem very accommodating. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're prioritizing location over comfort.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and had charming Art Nouveau touches, but it felt really antiquated with a lingering old smell. The bed was oddly placed under the headboard, making it awkward to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the noise from neighboring rooms was unbearable at times, which disrupted my stay.
Service
5.0
The service was hit-or-miss. While I found the receptionist on my second day to be pleasant and helpful, my initial interactions left much to be desired. There was little understanding of my needs, particularly when it came to power adaptors for my medical device.
Location
8.0
The location couldn't be better—just steps away from the train and tram stations. It made getting around the city incredibly easy, and many attractions were within walking distance, which was a huge plus for me.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was included and had a decent variety, including pancakes and fresh bread, but it was lackluster compared to what I expected from a place this central. I enjoyed the oven-baked porridge, but it wasn't enough to elevate the dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed to be lacking, with slow elevators and an overall need for maintenance throughout the hotel. The cleanliness was not up to par, either, which detracted from the boutique experience I had hoped for.

My stay at Seurahuone Helsinki was mixed. The location is unbeatable, right across from the central train station, which made exploring the city super easy. However, the hotel definitely showed signs of wear and tear, with some amenities lacking, like an empty shampoo dispenser and thin pillows. Plus, the noise from the nearby nightclub was a real issue that kept me up at night, despite my request for a quiet room.
Rooms
5.0
The room was quite cramped and the decor felt outdated. I struggled with a broken curtain and an electric fan that couldn't really do the job. The bathroom was acceptable, but had some oversplashed issues during showers.
Service
5.0
While some staff were helpful, others fell short, especially in the dining area where I encountered an unfriendly employee. My experience with the reception staff wasn't consistent either.
Location
5.0
You can't beat the location! It's perfectly situated for accessing the city center, train station, and even shuttles to the airport.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a highlight with a variety of options, served in a beautiful dining room, though the service could use improvement.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has basic facilities, but there were issues like the lift being out of service and some general maintenance concerns that left me wanting more.

However, the hotel is in dire need of renovation, and I faced several issues with my room that detracted from the overall experience.
Rooms

While my room was large and nicely decorated with a comfy bed, it was surprisingly hot and had issues with the door lock, which took too much effort to open. The decor felt old and dingy, and there was some rather questionable artwork. Overall, it was not the relaxing experience I had hoped for.
Service

The staff were friendly and professional, doing their best to accommodate my needs, including early breakfast entry for my tour. However, the maintenance issues could have been handled better.

The location couldn't be better—it's right in the heart of Helsinki and directly across from the central train station, making everything easily accessible on foot.

Breakfast was quite impressive, featuring delicious options like oven-baked porridge and homemade cakes, served in a charming dining room with lovely old-world decor.

The facilities felt outdated with some areas needing maintenance. The lift was very slow, and the room technology required extra payments. I appreciated the availability of room service, but overall, it lacked modern touches.

The breakfast, while served in a lovely historical restaurant, was underwhelming and didn't quite meet my expectations.
